Fairfield, Montana
is the home of famous Freezout Lake, where snow geese migrate, pheasants are
plentiful and the Rocky Mountain Front Range is the background of the most
beautiful landscape in Montana. The valley in and around Sunriver has a
showcase of three famous buttes, Square Butte, Shaw Butte and Crown Butte.
It is dotted with ranches, and rolling hills, where the Rocky Mountain Front is
simply beautiful, especially as the eastern sun shines on the great
moutains. It gives you the true meaning of purple mountain majesty.
Hunters come from around the U.S. to pheasant hunt at Freezout Lake, hunt the
Bob Marshall wilderness area and some of the best fly fishing on the North
American continent is right here in Sunriver. In
the spring, photographers and bird watchers come to watch the the snow geese
migrate in, and dot the fields and lakes with the graceful birds. You can
see an abundance of wild life with deer roaming near your house, and the new
born fawns nesting in your back yard.
